The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) – the largest public relations trade association in the country – has selected Scott Carpenter as a Senior Judge for its upcoming Silver Anvil Award. This is the 10th consecutive year Carpenter has been selected for this prestigious honor. He is also one of 10 PR practitioners in the country to be named 10 consecutive years.

Silver Anvil AwardFor more than 60 years, the Silver Anvil has served as the industry’s most distinguished honor recognizing the very best in PR. The most prestigious award in the industry, The Silver Anvil, symbolizing the forging of public opinion, is annually awarded to public relations practitioners who, in the judgment of their peers, have successfully addressed a contemporary issue with exemplary professional skill, creativity and resourcefulness.

Each year, PRSA selects an elite group of 100 public relations professionals (out of its 35,000 members) to gather in New York City to judge the competition. Out of the 100 Silver Anvil judges, only 20 are selected as Senior Judge to lead his/her team of colleagues through the judging process in their category. The team evaluates and grades each entry based on a point system. The entry with the highest points is the Silver Anvil Award winner and up to three Award of Excellence winners can be named.
